Stunning Switzerland (Switzerland bern)

Tip! If you enjoy the scenery or want to take an active vacation, there are several scenic routes which meander through Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland and Lucerne’s Lake regions. There are also hiking, white water rafting, kayaking, paragliding, and biking routes and tours for adrenaline junkies.

It is sometimes surprising to realize how a small country can have such a vast and extraordinary variety of attractions. Switzerland, a dream destination of every tourist is full of splendor and unparalleled destinations. The level of my excitement on being there was not unexpected considering the thrill I used to have while watching the beauty of Switzerland in films or television documentaries–the spectator’s realization in this country always conforms to those camera clips.

Most likely, one’s reason for a Switzerland vacation does not have anything to do with Swiss knives, Swiss chocolates, or Swiss watches. We all know that vacation means the time spent away from school or work, or a trip taken to escape the stressful routines of our daily lives.

When someone asks about Switzerland, among the first things that come to mind are Swiss cheese – delectable treats – and, of course, the magnificent Swiss Alps. And when talking about the Swiss Alps, the sport that is most associated with it is skiing.

Skiing in Switzerland is big. One would hardly call it a Swiss winter vacation if you don’t have skiing in Switzerland somewhere in the agenda.

If skiing is a totally new term in your vocabulary, and gaper, schussing, and yard sale are unheard of, then skiing in Switzerland’s famous Alps is not for you.

The Swiss Alps may be the number one choice for avid skiers, but it does not mean that beginners can’t have the feel of the genuine Alpine experience. Skiing in Switzerland is definitely not for the weak-hearted. Even though there are slopes intended for beginners, generally, the country’s ski areas are a big challenge for most people.
